Silently Weeping Over Latent Dreams

If she could see what I can see, then she
would see that life is not of latent dreams.
The sun only warms those who risk to be
alive. Take time to soak in her own beams.

Life’s edge is deep and constant wandering.
Roaming through the willows of our own thoughts,
To keep time a step behind, pondering.
To just be one who can surely call shots.

If she would see what I can see, then life
Unravelling slowly revealing truth
Through taut eyes, and confirming all the lies
Told in whispers with no lover to soothe.

When the willows have started to weep, time
Cannot confirm this a victimless crime.
